Retaining Wall Advice

If you are building a retaining wall more than 600-900mm high depending on whether you are raising the land or excavating respectively, then you will require planning approval from your local government.

We can work with your nominated Structural Design Team, if the retaining wall comprises reinforced concrete, blockwork or steel.

We utilise licenced commercially available software to undertake analysis of complex retaining walls, to estimate factors of safety against wall collapse, potential wall deflection, bending moments, shear forces and the need for anchoring or propping. Designs of this type requires detailed information on subsurface conditions prior to the design phase of the project.
